I will confess ( ;p ) that “I Confess” was a little bit of a let down for me the first time I watched it, mainly because it’s so unlike a typical Hitchcock film, along with his “The Wrong Man” with Henry Fonda. Time has been kind to both films though, and nowadays I enjoy them for the entertainment they are.

Movie day up in PA! Just absolutely lovely and funny and heartwarming and delightful. Totally in love with this movie and everything about it. No it's not some groundbreaking film, but casting a mentally disabled young man and watching him absolutely knock it out of the park was so cool. Go take your mom and dad out and see this movie with them, you'll have a great time together. letterboxd.com/v9733xa/film/the-peanut-butter-falcon/First time ever seeing this in a theatre! Worth the 20-year wait after probably watching it ten times at home, at least. A perfect and thrilling movie I will never not love. letterboxd.com/v9733xa/film/the-matrix/

Cute romantic comedy from Hitchcock which is funny and clever, but nothing too special. Pretty much his only purely comedic film, a little cheesy but sweet and harmelss. letterboxd.com/v9733xa/film/mr-mrs-smith/

Just an excellent psychological thriller that digs deep into psychoanalysis and dreams, including an incredible sequence partially designed by Salvador Dali. Great movie. letterboxd.com/v9733xa/film/spellbound/Dark and twisted thriller that's Hitchcock's second to last film. Interesting to see him lean into an R-rating, with rape and violence amidst his usual off-kilter humour. This got better and better til a great finale. letterboxd.com/v9733xa/film/frenzy/

Fun but not quite as clever as it thinks it is, Hitchcock's last movie is worth seeing for some dark twists and crowd-pleasing moments, but it's not the best work to end a career on. letterboxd.com/v9733xa/film/family-plot/

It was good. I've grown to like the tear-jerker subgenre of anime a lot more in the past couple years. This one didn't grab me as hard as some of the others do, but it was very pretty and a worthwhile use of just under a couple hours. Girlfriend liked it a lot more than I did. All in all I'm glad I watched it, but I may have wanted just a little more when it was all said and done.

Just awesome, probably a top 10 Hitchcock (when you have like 10 masterpieces, that's saying something). Thrilling and action-packed and tense and romantic and funny in just the right parts, with an absolutely UNREAL plane crash scene into the ocean that is light years ahead of what anyone was doing in 1940. Goddamn. letterboxd.com/v9733xa/film/foreign-correspondent/

Astounding and probably a perfect film. Just floored by this masterpiece. Wow wow wow. Nothing can beat Vertigo but this was a profound experience. letterboxd.com/v9733xa/film/rebecca/

Watching everything on the Rebecca double disc and this was a nice documentary about the author Daphne du Maurier (who is from Cornwall) and her other works you may know also turned into films: The Birds, Jamaica Inn, My Cousin Rachel, and Don't Look Now. Gothic romance and dark imagery, she was a great writer. letterboxd.com/v9733xa/film/daphne-du-maurier-in-the-footsteps-of-rebecca/
