worked in a hospital for several months, _really_ do disinfect your hands whenever you walk into and out of one of those institutions because most of the (elderly?) nurses sure as hell don't do it even though they're obligated to and it's disgusting and you will get sick no matter what you touch lmao i had a patients norovirus just from touching the nurses office stuff

Don't give your login info/password to anybody, anytime, for any reason. Seems so obvious but its amazing the amount of damage that is inflicted via the most basic social engineering tactics.

I work at the head of a billing department in a medical office with 6 providers. So i read the clinicians' notes and bill out to insurance companies.
Please understand your goddamn insurance plans, people. And bring your damn cards to the doctor or clinic. No, if the insurance sent you a new card it probably IS new and different. Don't throw it away, please. And stop complaining about the prices. Things cost a lot (i'm referring to office visits/procedures, hospitals are a totally different bag) because there are tons of people that work for those docs making everything work in the background. That's how they get paid. And no, we don't set the prices; we have to abide by the allowed amount for an evaluation and management service for insurance with which we participate.
So, eat better and stop smoking and you won't have to come as much.

Worked at UPS. They don't give a shit about your packages, especially during the holidays. I saw one dude throw a TV and heard it smash, hilarious. One time a package got stuck in the conveyor belt, shit got ripped apart. I cannot confirm nor deny whether I was guilty of these things

I cannot confirm nor deny whether I was guilty of these things I remember when something got placed in the wrong line they would pull it off the conveyor belt, toss it on the ground, and one by one kick it to the person in front of them and after 20 or so of these soccer-kick passes the box would make its way back to the front of the line where finally someone would pick it up with their hands and put it on the line where it needs to be.

Depending on who their boss is and their route, some of these guys are severely overworked. Being expected to do routes for 2 people. Where I am in NYC add in crazy traffic and long waits for freight elevators to take you to the proper floors for delivering. They'll throw your shit when they can. Or just straight up sign delivered an hour before they even drop it off, and come when it works for them.

Majority know they "mishandle" packages, but to see what actually goes on... It was also my first year building a PC when I worked there so I was sweating as I ordered my stuff online Also, I saw packages literally laying underneath the machinery a year later lmao.

It's all about packaging, everyone in shipping and receiving at this point knows about the big box movers and their antics. I work in glass lab where people send us extremely fragile optics (as thin as a 3"x3" sheet of glass that was 30 microns thick). We hardly ever get anything in house damaged and when we do it's usually because our customers didn't package it correctly.
