Jig-Ai- Entrails Tsunami Read that album title and then look closely at the album artwork. That’s a gruesome, badass cover. This is just a fun grindcore album with some really tight snare action, giving it that unique sound sometimes associated with grindcore and Brutal death metal. This is one of the best grindcore albums of the year, if not the best, in my opinion.
Also, I’m finally listening to the new Shadow of Intent record. It sounds really well-produced, and the music is well executed. However, somehow I feel there is too much polish on this album for me to really fully appreciate it. I realize that I praised Sellsword’s album in the trad heavy metal thread yesterday, and it’s a super well-produced album too, but it had so much more depth than this Shadow of Intent record seems to have in my opinion. Still, this is a banging record, and it’s totally understandable why SoI have made such a huge splash for deathcore this year.

Why do the vocals have to ruin it? I hate that ridiculous guttural sound. Ugh. Damn, that was so promising for like 10 seconds.
