www.indiewire.com/2020/06/moviegoing-realities-covid-19-1234569115/Thought this was an interesting read about the future of movie going. I've got a reasonable case of coronaphobia and the thought of watching a movie with an unmasked patron coughing down my neck fills me with horror. At the same time, the thought of paying for the privilege of sitting through a movie in an uncomfortable face mask for two hours is just as unpalatable when I could just wait a few months and watch it from the comfort of my own home. I used to love going to the cinema and would normally make a couple of trips a week but I can't see myself going back until there's a vaccine now. I just hope the theatres are still there by the time we eventually get to that point. I might make an exception for Tenet.

I just hope the theatres are still there by the time we eventually get to that point. I might make an exception for Tenet. I've been to three movies in theatres in the last month. A mask is really not a big deal, I do not understand the aversion to them. Theatres are always chilly so you won't feel warm in one. I wear a mask 8 hours a day for work so 2 hours on a weekend is easy. And to be fair, the cinemas have been strictly following guidelines and laws here. I didn't sit even anywhere close to another person. It was sparsely populated anyway, but even still, they block off many seats and it's incredibly safe.

Received my 2020 LB in review this past Monday. I watched 114 films last year, with a grand total of 6 that was released in 2020; none of those 6 rated higher than a 3.5 star rating. Telling? I don’t know....

I am currently watching season 10 of The Walking Dead. I fear reaching the last episode. What am I gonna do with my life when I'm finished watching that show?

TCM has a showing of Kurosawa’s Dersu Uzala on this week, and I’m beyond excited right now. Can’t wait to finally watch it!
