This could mean a number of different things for a number of different people. It could mean visiting a bucket list stadium, seeing a historic event, a game that had a fantastic outcome, anything I just want to know about the best sporting event you've ever been to.
I've seen some cool shit. I was there when The Indians came back from a 12 run deficit. I saw a no hitter live an in person (sadly for the wrong team). I was in Philly when Lebron scored his 25,000 point. I was at the first game of The Indians 22 game winning streak, and the game that saw the streak end. I was at Heinz Field for a Steelers home playoff victory.
All that shit was really cool, but the best live sporting event I've ever attended, was game 6 of the 2016 NBA Finals. We got club level seats courtesy of our friends at Sherwin Williams, and I've never seen an arena so loud and with so much energy. This game was a blowout win and the entire game everyone was screaming, and when Seth Curry fouled out of the game you would of thought a bomb was going off. Now I've lived in Cleveland for 25 years, but my father was born and raised in Pittsburgh, doesn't have an ounce of Cleveland sports love in him, and I'll never forget seeing him wearing a "CLE" t-shirt and standing and screaming the entire time. The atmosphere was simply that infectious. It would take something really special to top that but it was a memory I will carry with me my entire life, hell I still have the ticket in my wallet to this day.
I've been to an international friendly between Chivas and Swansea City at Miller Park, and I got to see the Bucks play at the Bradley Center the year it was demolished (they lost lol); I've been to a Brewers game where C.C. Sabathia pitched, I think it was his first or second start as a Brewers pitcher, but the best sporting event I've been to was back in 2011 when the Brewers beat the Marlins to win the NL Central for the first time since the 80's. There was such an explosion of energy when Ryan Braun hit the decisive homer in the 8th inning, I've never experienced those kind of levels since.
For me... In 2015 when Ole Miss came to play Memphis in football. We (Memphis) were 6-0 to start the season, not quite ranked yet and Ole Miss came into the game 5-1 after beating Alabama but lost to Florida (I think) and were ranked #13 in the country. Ole Miss came out red hot and put up 14 points pretty easy but we had a completely sold out stadium (60k strong) on a beautiful October day. Memphis caught fire and played one of the most fun games I have ever watched and eventually outlasted the Rebels for one of the biggest wins in Memphis history. I cant even describe the atmoshphere, college football saturday at its finest. One game I will NEVER forget.

For me, it was being at the Michigan vs Notre Dame game last year. Cold, tons of rain, an absolutely one-sided game in favor of Michigan. Hell of an experience.
The whole sequence of events during the Sainristil touchdown at 7:20 was amazing to see real-time. Everything from the catch to the two broken tackles to the juke.. and then block by Stephen Spanellis where he escorted the Notre Dame player off the field. Fantastic.
A match between two of the best teams the league has ever seen, in what proved to be the turning point in the title race. There was a lot of animosity between the two sets of fans at the time so the atmosphere was electric and it made the victory all the more sweeter.
I've been to a few other great games in the Champions League (matches where City beat Barcelona, PSG and Bayern Munich) but they were all ultimately for nothing. The Champions League match against Spurs last season was hands down the most amazing match I've seen but the last minute goal ruled out by VAR left me with genuine trauma.
Seen quite a few cup wins at Wembley and a few enjoyable derby victories, but none that massively stand out. Putting six past Chelsea last season was a lot o fun. The atmosphere at the League Cup final against Sunderland a few years ago was one of the best I've seen. Will forever be slightly gutted that I wasn't there for the Aguerooooooooo game.
