There are a lot of people who are convinced of his innocence and a lot of people who think he's guilty. It's weird and it's hard to say either way, one thing I know for sure is when you build your own theme park and invite a lot of small children to come become your "friend" there, that's just fucking weird. Honestly I was kind of surprised he never got brought up when metoo was at it's full force.
Allegedly he was emotionally underdeveloped, so even though he was an adult, he was on the emotional level of a kid. Seems to happen to people who get into the business at a very young age and miss out on some things.
I don't know if he was innocent or not, but I thought that the ones accused him of doing that revealed after his death that it was just a lie. Given that I never really read up on the topic, I don't know much.
No Zeke, that's where you have it both right and wrong. One of those men is one of the men in this very documentary. He details why he initially took back his story for years because of blind adoration of Jackson, and that's why the second half of the film is apparently so heartbreaking, because he is crushed that he potentially hurt other victims by not being truthful. It's a powerful statement of why it's so so so hard to come forth with these types of accusations, and a testament to the strength of these men that they are speaking now.
I feel like Rob Halford of Judas Priest fame would be a good one. Not only is he one of the main faces of heavy metal, but he’s openly gay, although that was not openly true during the early part of his career. Makes for an interesting story.
Judas Priest would be a great band for a biopic because their career is so prolific, and they’re one of the longest running names in metal. Also, it would be cool to dig deeper than current members, but reach out to former members, such as the original vocalist who started the band. I’m sure he would have a lot to say about having started a band that would blow up and become so important to the metal world. Would he say he would have made them even bigger? Or does he believe he is inferior to Rob Halford? It’s a cool idea.
