Ive been vegetarian for 6 years now. I'm okay with whatever people decide to eat. Before turning vegetarian I used to consume meat (mostly chicken and goat) on a pretty heavy basis. Eventually I felt I was done with the taste and was ignoring vegetables way too much, thus I decided to make the switch for good.
I am all about healthy diet and lifestyle. And, I couldn't be more happier I made the switch. Over the years I've received strong backlash from friends and even my parents for being vegetarian. I've only had one college friend who was vegetarian so it was always hard for me to "adjust" in social gatherings. All of my roommates who I live with now consume meat and I'm the sole vegetarian, there is some adjustment to be made, but I can manage somehow. One of the biggest con to being a vegetarian has been having to scrutinize on fast food and other food items to make sure it doesn't contain meat and be disappointed, ha!
If any of you know a website/book for making delicious veg recipes, care to pass it my way?

I try to eat everything organic, with meat or without. Just because a lot of the non-organic process is pretty disgusting in some cases. I am thinking of minimizing meat consumption though, might have to do more research though because I require a lot of protein. Gotta change my mealprepping. Don't worry, my man, there's enough protein in stuff like beans and tofu etc. You can make a lot of plant based and protein filled dishes. For sure man! I will make it my goal next week to meal prep with no meat.

Pretty sure its the case with bare people but going veggie got me hooked on spicy food, like before i wouldn't touch it now like everything has to be covered in hot sauce.

i would love to move toward a move veg lifestyle but i am a very limited cook. do any of y'all have any simple recipes? i just typed an essay of recipes and then it was all gone because i accidentally clicked on something i hate myself wow here we go again. broccoli salad: cook broccoli, wash canned kidney beans and add them, add peanuts, pour sauce hollondais over it - boom done vegetable julienne with rice/noodles/buckwheat (directions on those are on the packaging i guess, but 1 cup of rice best goes with 2 of water): buy a julienne cutter or cut your vegetables into very thing stripes by hand. i recommend red bell pepper, carrots and zucchini for this one. put them in a pan and gently roast them until they aren't hard anymore, then add peanut butter, a dash of lemon juice, some water and your favourite spices - boom done cream-broccoli sauce (with rice/noodles/buckwheat): buy broccoli, cook it. buy cream and soft-cheese-gouda (is this a word), put them in a pot. add broccoli. add salt and pepper - boom done filled tortillas: buy tortillas and add whatever the fuck you like. most of the time i go for tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, french salad dressing and corn. BOOM DONE pizza: honestly i haven't found the perfect dough recipe yet, but you can find some via google and try them out. for the sauce: put tomatoes into hot water, boil them for like 1 minute, get them and peel off the skin. then put them into the pot again, pound them, add some tomato paste, salt, basil and garlic. then add your sauce onto your rolled out dough, add cheese, add your favourite pizza topping, then add more cheese, put it into the oven - boom done for pics of most of these visit the daily cooks thread lmao

I have been transitioning to vegetarianism for a few months. At first I had just decided to eat more vegetarian meals rather than than 100% non-vegetarian I had been doing. That changed to eating mostly vegetarian. At this point I find most meat pretty disgusting... except for bacon and pepperoni, though I'm really trying to go all in. I'm doing it for health reasons, as I've found a lot of information on Whole Food Plant Based diets being beneficial. I first got into it by following ex-Cro-Mags singer John Joseph on Facebook and his book Meat if for Pussies. He's a vegan triathlete. Eating on the go has been the biggest hurdle as there's not much good and quick out there (outside of NYC that is)
