I really want this shit. Been following PU for such a long time, and I saw him at PAX east so that was pretty dope. I'll definitely be buying this on sale though.

I only played like 40 min, but goddamn this game is sick. I loved watching the Battle Royale shit for DayZ back in the day, so this makes me super happy to see. The physics are ridiculous and I fucking love it too lmao. Watched some vids earlier before I bought it and they're crazy.
For those who've been playing for a bit, any tips? or anything I should know. So far from what I gathered is to plan your plane dive right so you don't land near people. Also, run into whatever building ASAP and grab whatever weapon you can. I also can see that helmets, frying pans, etc. have ricochet so that's cool.

I've been wanting this game for about a month now, but I don't know if there is full controller support. Sometimes they say that shit but it ends up being really shitty. I know I have a PC, but I still prefer controllers smh. Every time I've tried to go all in on using a keyboard and mouse, I fucking fail.

Also, run into whatever building ASAP and grab whatever weapon you can. I also can see that helmets, frying pans, etc. have ricochet so that's cool. Ya frying pans can now ricochet bullets. To my knowledge only a lvl 3 helmet can allow you to survive a headshot from a sniper. 37hrs in for me and I've realized it's best to play like a little shit camper. If you're in the safe zone and you've got 2 solid ARs (or AR + Sniper) with scopes, + medkits + pks/red bulls, high lvl gear (backpack, helmet, mask, police vest) stay in a building and let others make the moves. I've died so many damn times with legit gear because I'm a run-n-gun type player and die to someone posted up in a building. That or over-looting and going into a house with someone crouching a corner with a shotty. 1 bang and all your gear is gone and you gotta hop off the plane again. I like playing the edge instead of mid-safe zone, unless you can get to where you think the final zone will be and have cover on all 4-sides. Get your gear and play the edge. Take off a little before as the electricity field closes in faster and faster as the game progresses. That's another worst feeling when you leave too close to the timer running out and the field is too fast for you and you die to the game and not a player. So far I've got 1 win on doubles and 1 win as a squad. Heart starts to pound at top 10. glhf!

I actually did just that, camped it out towards the end-ish. Made a huge rookie mistake of leaving a building I was posted up in too. Sucks because I landed in the center lol, however I ended up hiding behind a rock and saw someone in the distance gunning to the center. Suddenly heard some guy behind me, but his footsteps were off then he edges around the rock behind me. I see him and went to fire but got smoked ;-| this game is so good though. I love the intense moments it brings, feels like the DayZ thrill all over again. Also @carl, fuck a controller mang. Playing with legit controls are great, plus it'd be so annoying to do the camera turn with a controller.

one of the hardest things for me to get used to in this game is bullet drop-off. I've been playing too many of these arcade type shooters where bullet drop-off is almost non-existent. In this game leading people when they're running parallel to you and are quite a ways away is pretty tough for me. I've also died plenty of times because I give away my position with the initial engagement and end up losing the gunfight cause I can't judge how much to lead someone. It also took me a while to get used to the 4x/8x scopes cause of the Acog scope. In destiny, that scope was on the mida multi-tool and the bullet would land right under the triangle. In PUB, the hit point is above the triangle. Minor adjustment to make, but still one that threw me off for quite some time before I figured it out.
The one thing I wish the game had was a shooting range to try all the guns out with or without attachments to judge recoil patterns and the bullet drop-off. I know there's the 60s prior to game launch, but that's not enough time and it's so laggy. Plus, finding the weapon you want to get used to in that time span isn't likely to happen.

Luckily I played a lot of Arma and DayZ so the weapons feel nice to me. I finally got to customize a SCAR to full potential, had a silencer and scope and what not. That thing shot like a beast, especially when I ran up on a few people. I literally just had an awesome round despite losing. I parachuted to one spot and thought no body followed me, turns out I was wrong. The second I land, I hear another player land behind me and we start gunning for the house. I run inside to find a weapon fast but this dude is already trying to sucker punch me. I thought "HELL NAH" and fought him, ended up knocking his ass out too. Ran around that house and didn't find much besides a pistol. Next thing you know, the area I'm in turns into a red zone so I book it outta there fast. Looted a few buildings and geared up nicely, couldn't find much around and didn't wanna lurk too long either since I knew there were peeps who landed there. Got distracted and looked at my mini map last second to see that I'M IN ANOTHER RED ZONE. I booked it the fuck outta there and survived luckily, saw a house in the distance with a jeep outside so I thought why not? As I'm heading towards the house, I'm creeping through the open land to see some dude pop outta the front door towards the jeep. Reflexes kicked in and I started shooting immediately, hit him once and he hid behind the jeep. Saw his feet and shot at those, he came around the side and I took him out. Looted the house real quick, and got in the jeep only to get shot at as I tried to drive off. Crashed into a tree and dove the fuck out, checked my surroundings and saw the guy next to the house I was at. Tossed like 2 smoke grenades and dipped outta there fast. Ended up re-routing myself around back to where he was, however I lost him. I'm hiding behind a tree and I see him run out of the house up the hill. I thought no way he saw me, so I ran after him. I didn't see him in the distance so I figured he was still around the area. Next thing you know, I see a black figure move in my peripherals and shot the fuck outta him. Ran around for a bit as the circle was closing in where I was, so I looted a little more ammo. Saw 2 drivers fly by me, followed one up the hill but there was a red zone starting. Heard his buggy driving around and not really sure what he was doing, but he stalled right in front of me. So I immediately opened fire on him and to my surprise, I killed him. Towards the end with 20 people left, I got stupid and ran across an open street to sneak up on some guy but ended up getting sprayed by another. I love this shit.
