"A political misunderstanding over Garth Brooks wearing a Barry Sanders No. 20 jersey in Detroit drew a strong reaction on social media, including one from the Hall of Fame running back.
Last weekend, Brooks posted a photo on Instagram of the Sanders jersey prior to his concert in Detroit.
The confusion began with some commenters thinking the photo was a show of support for Bernie Sanders' 2020 run to be the Democratic presidential candidate. Among the responses: "If this is for Bernie Sanders, I'm done with you," "I wish you would've kept your political preferences to yourself," and a slew of commenters trying to set the record straight that the jersey was honoring the Detroit Lions' all-time rushing leader."
You can't make this shit up. I tend not to have much of a political stance, but Trump-supporters are making it more and more difficult to not think they're all fucking morons.

So I stay out of politics for the most part because reasons. But Donald just went after fucking Goodyear because of a meme. Telling his base to stop buying Goodyear tires and go after an American company and manufacturer in the middle of a global pandemic. I live thirty minutes from Goodyear I know at least a dozen people who work for Goodyear and they are all furious.
Long story short, I didn't think this man was dumb enough to go after one of the biggest businesses in one of the biggest swing battleground states in recent election history. I was wrong.

With the upcoming election in mind (next week) what are everyone's thoughts? I've been following it closely the last two weeks and everybody seems to be busy trying to get everyone to vote in the US. If you believe the polls Biden is in the lead but just like 4 years ago that doesn't say much.
I've been wondering how the country will react if Biden wins (or lose). Riots? Full scale country wide party? It's going to be a wilde ride until november 3rd that's for sure.

There is just as much likelihood of a Biden electoral landslide as a Trump win by a nose, and everything in-between. Remember, due to the relic of the Electoral College, basically about 38 states are baked into the cake already. Maybe a dozen are toss-ups, and of those maybe truly only a half-dozen to four truly are. So you can already start off -- projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-election-forecast/?cid=rrpromo -- with Biden around 230 votes and Trump around 150 votes. Okay, make it 210 and 180 if you're feeling pessimistic. All you need are 40-60 more and that's basically Biden winning either a couple of the toss-ups up North or down South, or a mix of the two. Trump has an enormous disadvantage and has been treading water all year. You can't win an election when your approval rating has never been over 43%. The much-derided polls have been altered a bit to counter for the crucial demographic category that was ignored until four years ago: education. White voters with a college degree had always been a little more Democratic but it was never anything that needed to be squared in polling. Then, with the unwashed masses coming out in droves to Trump last time, pollers realized indeed they did need to account for education for the average voter (particularly White) and as such, the polls have been altered with that factor in mind. I have pretty good faith in them this year, but once again it truly comes down to turnout. Considering early voting has rocketed off the charts -- Texas has passed its ENTIRE TOTAL in all voting already from 2016, and it's still 4 days til Election Day -- that can only be a neat gain for the Democrats, as every time you make it easier to vote you then get more socially and economically liberal voters to come out. It's looking good.

60k people voted Kanye, even Kanye voted for the first time in his life, on Kanye. Imagine that Biden or Trump has 60k votes short for a win. Kanye might have a bigger impact than anyone, expect Kanye, could ever think off I hope, that anyone who ever voted for Kanye, including Kanye, will never vote again.
good luck usa moshers! I hope it won't be a bigger mess in your country after the election..

I really want to wake up tomorrow to the news that Biden has won. Obviously I don't live in the US but I was so disappointed when my own country reelected a lying and incompetent right wing government, it would give me a little hope that the tide could be turned.

Biden looks like he's in good shape, though it will be a protracted fight. I see the narrative of Trump looking like a sore loser -- fairly or not, largely bestowed on Al Gore in 2000 -- making any legal challenge impossible and not the public's will.

I think the most amazing thing about this entire election process is how many Trump supporters don't understand what population density is.

Insert the following song: Wisdom in Chains - Land of Kings
But still, be safe all moshers, hopefully Trump and his losers don't get violent in any way. Don't get yourself in unsafe situations!
