Flow resumed. This is pure groove. An excellent album, period. that opener is pure beauty.

Consistent breaking of thread rules, with wanton disregard! I don't even know how to get it back on track...

Yeah man that funkadelic track is awesome. I love the tin can delay on the drums. And the yeah yeah yeah bit...
After all the fuss about the ska thread it has me revisiting some tunes that take me back to the good old days.

Brother clazza that was out there. I'm a big fan of music that has a lot of energy, musically, emotionally, lyrically, or otherwise. This didn't hit those ticks for me. It mostly felt like a track going through the motions, something recorded to fill out the 5 or 6 slot in an album that's frontloaded with the radio hits. Keep in mind that this isn't at all my taste, so if it feels like an attack it isn't - just my inner monologue as I step outside of my music bubble (which, hooray, thread purpose fulfilled!) Talk me through what I'm missing - tell me what appeals about this song to you? Why does this track get associated with the good ol' days? Submitting my track without comment:

Submitting my track without comment: Not gonna lie, while I enjoyed your selection, I couldn't help but think that this sounded highly similar to "intermission" music you'd find in long (re: 4 hr.) films. Slightly basic, and missing that little bit of magic the vocals brought to the song. My older sister HATES this movie lol. Been on a kick of these guys lately, so I sought a musical exorcism by posting it here. Love it, hate it, doesn't matter to me. I enjoy them a hell of a lot, and have for 10+ years. Without further ado:

Cool, I never dug into this band's material before, but I can see they've got plenty out there. Japanese metal is hit or miss for me, but this worked quite well for me. I will also say I prefer this over Dir En Grey. Great melodies, nice songwriting, and the drummer is very good. I'd have liked for him to experiment more with his fills, but it's all good. Cool post.
Been a while since I posted anything truly aggressive. Here's a banger.

I really do like this one, it is fast as hell, cool technical guitar playing, still sharp, sometimes moshy riffs. Very enjoyable listen. Good vocals also. The vocals can sometimes ruin things for me in metal, I don't like em high pitched. Looks like hardcore and metal are mixing up more and more, here's some hardcore that could pass as metal maybe: Enemy of Creation - Victims of the Cross camopantsrecords.bandcamp.com/album/victims-of-the-cross

There does seem to be a lot of metal in hardcore these days. There were some cool parts to it, would have benefited from a monster solo in there though. Not really been into bands that much of recent except for maybe chic or hot chocolate. Been slamming this tune quite a bit.

clazza, I rarely listen to music like this. Rave music, EDM, however we should label it, is hardly on my radar. However, despite not being much of a fan of this kind of music, I cannot deny that it has some profound effects on me listening to a track such as this one. This music has an enormous ability to shift my mood and general feeling, as it is hard not to move my head to the beat. Given the right circumstance (obvious a dance club or something of that nature) this has excellent power to get people on the move. Also, the one line of lyrics (if we can call them that, not sure if that’s accurate to say), seems very shallow on the surface, but actually feels more deeply rooted within the music the more I listen and consider the music. I didn’t expect to go so deep on a track I would have otherwise called shallow. Also, I was starting to get bored halfway through, but that extra nuance with the keys added a lot of enjoyment value for me, so that was cool. Fun track. Thanks for sharing. Inhuman Nature. This band is more likely to appeal to you all than nearly anything else I’ll post, due to their massive hardcore influence in their sound. They’re a crossover thrash band. Album cover was totally misleading to me, as I was expecting it to sound like epic heavy metal. Instead, it sounds like Power Trip. Hahaha! Despite the fact that I am not a big Power Trip fan, nor am I a fan of much crossover and absolutely not a fan of hardcore, this band’s 2019 album really works for me. It rips! Here’s a track from the album. Not my favorite track, but it still rips.

This tune rips. The 14 year old in me is moshing like fuck. Kinda sounds like dri but less shit.
This one's another dance tune I've been on. This is by a guy called gerald.

Nice. feels like a house track, and it's got a good beat. You want something else that's good? Check Berlin Trax by Takkyu Ishino. Fucking good house.
Been on a nostalgia kick, and I wish these guys would get back together.

Haha, that was a fun music video, tao. I feel I can relate to the anger of that guy at the beginning and end of the video after a few minutes of violin class for grade 1 today. lol. That drummer was playing in extreme metal territory, that was cool. I would have jammed this a lot back in the day as well. Cool song. Bokassa is a recent find. Kinda hard to label these guys, but punk and metal are definitely joining together for this one. I almost think of Rise Against at the chorus, and I think of a plethora of other bands at other times. I don't know, I think most people will like this song, honestly.

Ha that reminded me of sum 41 when they made that brown album, I can't remember the name of it but it was the most metal one they did. These guys sound like they're referencing more hardcore though. It was good to say the least.
This tune is one of my faves. Good god hit it hard!

Usually not my type of music, but this shit's groovy and had me swinging my hips. When the sax came on I had to think of the sesame street somehow. reminding me of my childhood. Great tune!
I had a short phase where I really enjoyed folk/medieval kind of music. Don't know how to exactly describe this, but I just revisited it.
