Just got back from court. Ya boy got half the charges dropped. Only getting probation. No jail time! Good news although I could totally have seen you joining the Aryan Brotherhood.

Long distance relationships are hard as fuck, and she's not even far away. But getting there is too expensive to get there more often. argh!

Tomorrow or on sunday I can expect a call from a company to let me know if I got the job or not. I was super stoked when I found out that they were hiring and I replied. Got 2 interviews which all went really well imo. My mom has never seen me so excited for a job ever. I even let them know that I was really happy when I got an e-mail where they invited me for the second interview. I've been nervous since I left the job interview on Tuesday and I just hope for good news this weekend. Pray for me marshers.

I have a master's degree in history, so ideally jobs in museums, libraries, archives, historic sites, etc., but also a lot of bullshit clerical office jobs and some IT. I have six years of IT and two years of archival/library experience on my résumé, so it's not like I have no employment history. I'd say it's because I'm applying for jobs in SD from Chicago, but I sent out about 30 apps for jobs here and got no responses.

I have seen many articles about how a CV is organized can be make-or-break. You certain yours is fine?

I've asked a few people - including a career counselor/adviser where I went to school - to look it over and they've all said it's fine. I'm not sure what the job market in Europe is like, but a lot of job-seekers in the US are treated like garbage. I do a ton of obnoxious busy-work every day and can't even get an employer to say "no thanks" lol.

I had a company who said in late February that they want me to start April 1st. I told them I have 2 month leave period and I can only start from May. No reply for weeks, so I accepted another offer. 2 months later they write me a letter that they managed to beat it through management and they are so excited to work with me. Told them that I took their lack of response for 2 months as a rejection, lol. I guess the other candidate stepped down. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
