I know I won’t have enough time to participate with this challenge, but it’ll be interesting to read/discuss what people have watched for this. I laughed a bit when I checked out your list (it’s a good list btw) because I was thinking about watching “Jigoku” tonight, as it’s one of my most recent Criterion finds.

I'm going to do a Spooktober list, even though I haven't done any of that 20 classic films in 2018 challenge yet because I'm a mook. I'm not really sure I care for the rules that much, though. I had several Hooper films on my list last year and I didn't like any of them.

I’m liking your list too, Ghosty. Good selection of classics here. Salem’s Lot was good, but it was loooooong. Made sense once I realized it was a TV movie 2-parter, but still, loooooong. The Blob is hilarious, and you can’t go wrong with the classic era of Universal Studio horror. I really, really like Cronenberg’s “The Fly”, and I cant remember if I’ve seen “Onibaba”. “Thirst”, though... that’s a different kind of vampire movie. It was good, don’t get me wrong, but certainly not what I expected from the genre. Be interested to hear your thoughts on that one.

I'll likely watch some horrors in October but i've not been great at sticking to watching film lists so far this year. I watched Intruders (Called Shut In in some places) last night - home invasion movie with an agoraphobic woman in the house. Interesting idea but there's not really enough to fill out 90 mins. Got a bunch of stuff downloaded from the recent Frightfest so I'll post em up as I go along

Finally watched Raw last night - what a film that was. Guess it's not as much of a horror as your usual cannibal film, but it's well crafted.

Started my challenge in style. Cheesy 80s slasher featuring a group of teenagers being locked in a shopping mall with killer robots. As stupid and fun as it sounds, 3.5/5.

Started watching Blood Diner. I got 10 minutes in before shutting it off. Shlocky 80s horror comedy. I thought I'd signed up for a slasher.

Ingmar Bergman's only horror film. A surreal nightmare. The final act is messed. up. 4/5 This seems to be really highly regarded within the horror community. I honestly thought it was poor and didn't build any tension. Silly plot and dull characters. 2/5 A Czech reimagining of the story of Alice in Wonderland. I'd file this under weird/experimental/slightly tedious. 2.5/5

essien , just realised I've not seen a single film on your Hooptober list. @ghosty - seen 13 of yours. Creature from the Black Lagoon traumatized me as a kid.
