Kyle Pavone, singer and keyboardist for Michigan metalcore act We Came as Romans, has died. Pavone was 28. Details have yet to been released on the cause of death, but the band issued the following statement via social media:
"Today, music lost another great with the passing of Kyle Pavone of We Came as Romans. Kyle's tragic loss came too early in his life and those of his bandmates. All are devastated by his passing. We will miss his smiles, his sincerity, his concern for others, and his impressive musical talent. In lieu of flowers, we will provide information regarding charity donations this coming week. The family and the band wish to thank their fans and the music community for all of their love and support as they navigate their grief."
Pavone joined We Came as Romans in 2008, as clean vocalist and keyboardist, ahead of their 2009 debut record To Plant a Seed. Pavone appeared on each of the melodic metalcore act's subsequent studio albums: Understanding What We've Grown to Be (2011), Tracing Back Roots (2013), We Came As Romans (2015) and last year's Cold Like War.

Damn, this sucks. WECAR was one of the first metalcore bands I got into when I was first getting into the genre.

Really sad. Jammed their debut a lot back in '10.

Truly sad, they were one of the main post-hardcore bands of my teenage years. RIP

Never got into this band as much as younger people did, but this is super sad.

they've been vague on whats happened? Apparently he got rushed to a hospital, and then a few days later died?

they've been vague on whats happened? Apparently he got rushed to a hospital, and then a few days later died? Yeah, it’s odd. Metal Injection said that he got rushed to the hospital roughly a week ago and he then died 6 days later. If it’s anything to go off of, his last 2 tweets make it sound like he was wrestling with something under the surface and he succumbed to it. Maybe he attempted to OD? I guess we won’t know until they do an autopsy. Fucking shame and I’m sad about it, no matter how you slice the pie here. 😢😢😢

they've been vague on whats happened? Apparently he got rushed to a hospital, and then a few days later died? Most likely drugs. A few people on /r/metalcore who claim to have known him said that the band hasn't been more forthcoming about what exactly happened because his family wants privacy right now.
