The marsh explores the universe. Saturn moon 'able to support life'www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-39592059Saturn's ice-crusted moon Enceladus may now be the single best place to go to look for life beyond Earth. The assessment comes on the heels of new observations at the 500km-wide world made by the Cassini probe. It has flown through and sampled the waters from a subsurface ocean that is being jetted into space. Cassini’s chemistry analysis strongly suggests the Enceladean seafloor has hot fluid vents - places that on Earth are known to teem with life.

Cassini set for first Saturn gap plungewww.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-39701671The Cassini probe is about to make the first of 22 dives in between the rings of Saturn and the planet's atmosphere. The orbits represent the last science-gathering phase of this remarkable mission before it ends in September. Passage through the gap, made at more than 110,000km/h, is set to occur at 09:00 GMT (10:00 BST) on Wednesday. The outside chance that Cassini could encounter rocky or icy particles as it crosses the ring plane means it will lead with its big antenna, as a shield. Always liked Cassini, one of my top five space probes. God speed.

It's gonna be a sad day when Cassini goes down. Can't wait to see those final pictures between the rings.

I'm just happy we're living in the beginning of space exploration and discovery. It's amazing, and yet sad at the same time. Such awesome discoveries lately, and to know they find new Worlds almost every day is fucking wild. Soon! saturn.jpl.nasa.gov/

I posted this in the books thread but Ill say it here too. Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan is an excellent read.
