Be smart about it. Pittsburgh. I’ve been struggling to get into the game after getting so deeply into NFL. I always watch the hockey game and feel I have to focus too deeply to really catch everything. And when something great or big happens, like a really great trick shot or something, I really just don’t feel the weight of the situation like I should. So basically I will wait until we get closer to the final game, and then watch a bit then. For now, I’m taking a break on hockey. And I’m now following the Coyotes a little. But yeah, not feeling it yet. Hoping that will change soon. honestly the best way to get into hockey is to find a team you want to root for come playoff time, cause that's what makes most people hockey fans. Do not root for Pittsburgh, they've been too good for too long and jumping on that bandwagon sucks. FUCK that team and that red lipped mf lame Gretzky forever

May I suggest... A team living off of a 45 year old reputation. Maybe, but at least the mascot is new.

A team living off of a 45 year old reputation. Maybe, but at least the mascot is new. True. But I’ll be 45 this year and I’ve never seen them win anything while I’m alive but the media talks about the “Broad Street Bullies” as if they are still relevant. They didn’t even play hockey.

They have a team called Red Star Kunlun who is out of Shanghai, could be fun to root for a Chinese team whilst living in China.

Congrats to the Red Wings for eliminating themselves from playoff contention with 18 games left in the season.

I really want to love hockey I getcha; hockey is a lot like golf, where it’s not really fun unless you’re there watching it live or you’re playing it.

It's very regional, if you're in a market with a team you're very likely to dive into the sport. It's hard to follow from afar when no one is talking or caring about it. I try really hard to keep up with The Penguins but just don't have the attention span to follow the regular season. I do however check into the Stanley Cup Playoffs with they get started and always have a blast. There is just something awesome about playoff hockey.

My team (the Milwaukee Admirals) aren’t NHL, so that may be a strike against any interest, but really, growing up I was just more of a fan of MLB and NFL. It may also have to do with me hating skating... Give me tickets tho to see a sporting event, NBA, NFL, MLB, hockey, soccer, etc. and I’ll go and enjoy the shit out of it tho.
