I have an issue with this season of Mindhunter, spoilers will be up to episode 5 or 6. The storyline about Hench's son being involved in a brutal murder of a young child. I get what they are trying to do with the case work mirroring home life and the parallels between the kid they are interviewing with Hench's son. But it's just so far fetched I can't buy it. Ford showing sociopath tendencies last season was fun, but I just can't get into this one. I can see what you mean, it's one you really need to suck up and just embrace. Even more pointless for me was Anna Torv's arc however I still thought this season smashed it out of the park. Next up: 13 Reasons Why Season 3 - assuming its actually worth its run. I'll give it 3 eps.

Just watched Happy Jail on Netflix, it was interesting to say the least. It was apparent that the people running the jail we're trying (and failing) to show their side of a story to the world and show them in an positive light. The inmates were clearly instructed on how they were to be filmed by the prison officials, prison officials doing things like giving girlfriends money just because the camera was on them and they wanted to look good.
It wasn't a great miniseries but was worth the short time it needs, I was enjoying it more from a psychological standpoint than merit.

Tried 13 Reasons Why s3 but it feels like such a desperate attempt to carry on the story after the opening ep that I'm not sure I'll be back in a hurry. Took essien 's advice and watched Euphoria instead. Definitely has some semblance to 13RW, albeit way more HBO in terms of themes, graphic nature, etc.. Got 2 eps left to watch but it's extremely bingeable.

Finished Brooklyn Nine Nine, really wonderful show. Loved it at max.
Casa De Papel s3 right now. The Handmaid’s Tale and Orange Is the New Black (both most recent seasons) are next in line. Not the biggest fan of Orange since after the first three seasons, but still want to finish it.
Never liked 13 Reasons Why. Totally irritating characters. It’s highly cruel to say because the subject is really interesting, but it was told in such a “oh, watch me suffer” style that I couldn’t get into it.

These characters are on another level of painful to watch.

It's just boring to me. I know it has it's reason for being there with him being a profiler and that he is probably starting to realise that if he doesn't fix his kid that he will become a serial killer in the future.

Any Workin' Moms fans on here? Working through Season 3. It's a show that seems to get better as it goes on. If you need a pretty funny 20 min comedy then it's worth a bash on Netflix.

Also working through the final season of The Affair weekly, and Peaky Blinders Season 5, and I decided to start the ITV drama A Confession as it's based on someone me and my wife knew who was killed by a taxi driver about 8 years ago.

So I'm not much of a stand up guy, but I really enjoyed Chappelle's new Netflix special Sticks and Stones. I'm not totally shocked the critics slammmmmmed him, he really goes out of his way to offend anyone who can be offended.

And watching this made me realise how much I miss Chappelle's show. That sparked conversation as well with different subjects.

Triple combooooooo.
Started watching The Spy with Sacha Baron Cohen today. Already at the last episode! Really good spy thriller based on the events of Eli Cohen who was an Israëli spy in Syria in the 60's. Also can't get over the fact how much Sacha looks like Freddie Mercury in this show lmao.
