I'm kinda surprised I haven't see a thread like this. We know we all went to terrible shows were people are just fucked up, bands don't do a great job or the live sound is just terrible, but how about we talk about the best shows we ever went to?
Even though my favorite show was Slipknot two years ago, the best show I ever went to was Sepultura/Destruction/Arsis/Starkill (too bad The Last Ten Seconds Of Life cancelled their slot in the tour). Bands where amazing, the local was just great (Culture Room, Fort Lauderdale FL), crowd was energetic and so kind. I went drunk as fuck, talked and shared a beer with Derrick Green and took pictures with the bands in a near bar.
What's the best show you ever went to?

I've been to tons of kick ass metal and punk shows over the years. But only one time have I been to Red Rocks Amphitheater, and for that reason alone I have to say the best concert I've ever been too was a Lindsey Stirling concert at Red Rocks >.<

Mindset with No Turning Back, Praise, Violent Reaction and loads others, silly fun all dayer. And another all dayer with higher power, knuckledust, renounced, venom prison, just like the best of the UK pretty much.

Pretty much the opposite of the "Bands you liked until you saw them live" thread. Either bands you didn't like until you saw them live, or bands that you liked that still impressed you when you saw them live.
For me, After the Burial, The Contortionist and Between the Buried and Me have always impressed me live. The amount of precision in their playing is just insane, and it always amazed me how they could play so perfectly every time even while touring. The Faceless is also really good, at least they were back in the day when Steve Jones was in the band. IMO that was when they were at their best. But my all time favourite live band has to be Glass Cloud. I'm not sure if they're playing shows anymore, but the couple times I saw them they were always so energetic on stage. Josh Travis would always go nuts on stage, and somehow manage to still play all the songs perfectly.

I have a few:
Converge - always sound stellar no matter how many times I've seen them, this also applies to... The Dillinger Escape Plan - these guys play the most technical music I listen to and still thrash around the stage whilst playing it The Locust - these guys had amazing stage presence with their weird bug outfits and are so tight its unreal
The one band I hadn't heard, then saw live and fell in love with were...
Cult of Luna - what a show they put on. Such a wall of sound.

And even on Trap Thems last tour of the UK when when the singer broke both his heels a couple of days before and had to the set seated but still was so fucking intense.

Every Time I Die. The best band I have ever seen live, every single time I see them they get better and better. Most entertaining and humble band out there.

I've only seen Glassjaw once, but it was unforgettable. They all stood in a circle (Daryl with his back to the audience the whole time) and just ripped for 40 minutes. Daryl also introduced every song by saying "this ones called chicken salad"

Tool was one of the best things i've seen live no doubt about that one. Or Amenra also one of the best live experiences ever!
